But there is another side, and I have not seen it in words. So let me introduce another angle, which has nothing to do with the assorted turn-ons which wetlook is supposed to incite. That is the celebratory and fun angle of getting wet.

When there is a team victory, fans, male and female jump into pools and fountains. When there is a graduation, or promotion, "everybody into the pool!" NASA in its early days used to celebrate successful "splashdowns" with pool parties reflecting same. The 7th Cav used to have a "Gary Owen" tradition, in which, when the cry was made, usually in the summer at the Officer';s CVlub, everyone jumped into the pool. Full clothing was the order of the day.

Pool parties did not mean drunken brawls, most of the gals with whom I participated in celbratory dunkings were generally pretty sober, but good sports.

Dunk tanks are set up, not for the visceral entertainment of the wetwatchers, but for the fun ot the spectators and participants. As I said, re: Leon's postings a few items ago, "girls just like to get wet!" The like to have fun getting wet. They happily get thrown into the water. And, my personal favorite, they love to be carried into the water by a guy.

Getting wet is fun. We see it the the poolparty candids; we see it with the nachtschrit lovelies. I am not including wet T-shirt shows in this comment, as it is obviously a show for both participants and viewers. But the urge to jump into the pool or run into the surf, clothed, is longstanding.

Yes, we wetlook voyeurs delight when these activities take place. How many of the lovely fountain dunkers were satisfying sexual urges, and how many were just having fun cooling off?
