I have no problem with nudity. I have just come back from St. Barts where all the ladies are topless. At Orient Bay in St. Martins they are nude on the beach. But then Adam and Eve were nude too before the fig leaf. Porn is solicited sex in a crude way not nudity or wetness in any garment. I am over 50 and male.. |
In reply to Message (9223) What do we label as porn here?
By AnthonyX - anthonyx@jowc.net Thu 18/03/04 02:39:01 GMT I've noticed that in attempts to warn readers about the nature of images they might not wish to view, the words "nudity" and "porn" crop up, often with apparent inconsistency in their use. For example, I've seen some things labelled "porn" where I wouldn't consider it to be anything more than nudity.
So, I'm going to ask the question of you, the reader as to how you would apply those labels. Bear (or is that "bare"?) in mind that I'm asking only out of curiosity, not with any serious motive in mind, other than so see if there is some inconsistency.
1. Do you consider nudity to be (indicate all that apply):
(a) Nipple and/or "bush" visible even though fully clothed (semi-transparent)
(b) Covered, but by something very sheer (might as well be transparent)
(c) Nipple exposed, even if only partially (Janet Jackson's Superbowl appearance)
(d) Full topless, even if fully covered elsewhere
(e) Bare buttocks
(f) Full frontal, even if genitals aren't visible.
(g) Any of the above
2. Do you consider porn to be (again, indicate all that apply):
(a) Nudity, as answered above
(b) Exposed genitals (legs parted)
(c) Simulated or real sex/pleasuring
(d) Any of the above
3. What is your age/gender? (I'm curious to see that if there is a range in response, whether it follows any lines of age/gender)
