You are right, I would do so, too.
But the set was taken with a Canon 550D. It doesn't compare to a 6D, which delivers much better noise in high ISO. The 550D may produce fair quality up to 1600 ASA.
As pointed out several times: Good lighting is crucial - from my understanding especially in wetlook photography because wetlook images "live" through those reflections and lights on fabrics that let them look wet. Dark fabrics and the detail in it you can see are the measure, at least for me.
Ed's suggestions are technically completely correct. But only usable, when you take photos only. I don't like flash-leaks during videos, which you can find also in a mulitude of products. Producing both in the same time what may be the rule in low cost productions means you should use permanent light. |

By Slawomirro - Wed 10/02/16 13:47:59 GMT I made photos for example - in theatres. High ISO isn't bad if a camera can makes clear photos. For me (Canon 6D) iso-6400 is a normal :)
for example: (Tv mode: iso-6400, 1/160s)

By EdR - asplashofglamour@gmail.com Wed 10/02/16 01:12:32 GMT Website: www.asplashofglamour.com I do not wish to criticize. I think your work has tremendous potential.
From what I see, (And I've only looked at the exif data on the selfie photo.) It shows the settings to be, 1/100 f/2.8 ISO400
These settings together would indicate to me that the photographer was trying to expose for low light.
It is possible to get a good photo with these settings but it's very difficult to do. (And might not be possible with the lens being used)
-1/100th is a very slow shutter speed. If the camera is being hand held and/or the models are moving, there will be some blur. (the camera should be on a tripod if shooting at slower shutter speeds) -f/2.8 This is wide open on this lens but it is also the blurriest f-stop for most lenses -ISO400 this will amplify available light at the cost of more noise
Photoshop will not be able to adequately resolve any of these issues. From what I can observe, the light being used is questionable. The light appears to be off camera, exif data indicates no flash fired. With the camera settings, I would guess that the light being used was some sort of work light (less than 500 watts) and probably set too far away from the models for it to light the scene well
My recommendation is you need a better light source. I would suggest at least a strobe, but two would make a huge difference in quality. With a strobe, you can set the camera with more ideal settings, like 1/160 f/8.0 ISO100 (These settings will allow sharper images with minimal noise) I would also suggest a slightly warmer white balance. With a strobe, 5000-5500k should be good.
Hope this helps, good luck Sincerely EdR

By Dima - Tue 09/02/16 10:38:40 GMT Website: http://wetlooker.com/ Thank you so much for all your reviews! It's an important call to change something in wetlooker.com. We have started to improve our shooting session right today, but it need a patience (because a lot of sets already shooted and uploaded).
As a complimentary for all your suggestions and reviews, please download one free set with video from our recent session: https://dropmefiles.com/Fg3os (it will be available only 7 days) Hope, you will enjoy it.
I have try to summarize roadmap of future development: - technical quality: light, blur, post-production - more different model's poses, less same type series of shots, different shooting angles, attention to exits from water - more enjoyment and emotions - no smoking, less ripping - duration of video - add different outfits: dresses, skirts, pantyhoses - more different shoes (heels, ked and vans, sneakers, not only socks) - affordable price policy
What else? Thank you again!
