In the town where I grew up was a papermill with a print shop.
Every time an apprentice completed their training, they were covered in ink and wheeled around the town in a wheelbarrow
Other big old print firms have similar traditions |

Can someone explain to me about Gauschfest?
Where does it happen? At a festival, or just on a street somewhere? Do the girls know they are going to be dunked when they go out? They always seem to be wearing casual "street" clothes - so this would indicate not! Do the volunteer, or are they asked? Or cajoled? On the photos posted here, they all seem to enjoy it? Do they? Do guys get dunked too?
How big a phenomenon is this GF, and what can we do to get it introduced to the UK too???
