He was also in the tv series "Dobie Gillis"....but for all his adult life he was really "Doobie" Gillis ...and that probably led to his health problems.

Maybe it's off topic, considering the famous wet scenes from the show, maybe not: it's just been reported that Bob Denver (Gilligan on "Gilligan's Island") died today. That only leaves Ginger, Mary Ann, and the Professor. Those of us who came of age during this series' prime aren't feeling any younger today.
