Yes the standard-size view is Flash. This is bad because some images look bad at full-size (e.g. way too out of focus, or too much larger than my screen) and I only want to save the smaller size. (But now I've got IrfanView on the PC I can scale them manually afterwards, not that I appreciate Webshots making it more difficult than it needs to be.).
You can tell Flash by right-clicking on the image (ctrl-click on Macs with if your input device only has one button) and seeing what menu appears. If it has "Macromedia Flash" in it, it's Flash. If it's the browser's menu, it's not Flash. |

In reply to Message (24496.2) downloading? have you ever heard of drag-and-drop?
By aquant - Wed 30/08/06 07:54:11 GMT ever heard of drag-and-drop? it's the method where you left-click (keep the mousebutton pressed!) a pic in an open browser window and pull (drag) it into another open window (eg of an open folder) next to the browse window or on the desktop while pressing the left mousebutton and releasing it to "drop" the pic into your destination folder. Voilá! There it is! No right-clicking or download procedures necessary.
The format is still jpeg!
Now doubleclick the pic symbol to open the pic in the program you've assigned jpeg to. Sorry I know that's such a basic technique but I still have to explain it at length here, as it seems. |
