Well, I think that the statistics Flickr gives, might contribute to it getting dry a little faster, but as pointed out in the comment above mine it's a trend everywhere. And Webshots doesn't give statistics. The very popular (a few years ago) sites from Baltic countries (mainly Estonia) are also less and less wet. In my opinion, one of the things to blame is videos and youtube. A few years ago it didn't even exist and phones made such poor quality videos that nobody filmed with them. Now phone quality has increased, not to mention that even the cheapest photo camera makes decent videos. And such things as getting wet for a dare, pool parties, jumping in cold water, throwing someone in the water etc seem to be much better to film than to photograph (for the makers), as they are quite dynamic. So we have an explosion of youtubes and less and less photos. As the quality of the videos is still not great and many people in our forum opt for quality, this trend is probably not welcome, but I don't think we can do anything about it.

It seems like there are a lot fewer wetlook pictures being posted on Flickr this year than in past years. Way fewer water ride and dunk tank pictures. I have also noticed an increasing number of links posted here that get deleted or restricted within 1 or 2 days of the link appearing here. Are more Flickr uploaders getting the premium account that identifies where hits are referred from? Is the word getting out that these kind of pictures are being viewed by a fetish community?
