As far as the 9-5 goes, I really don't miss it. Driving a truck is more fun. I've been to 48 states, Washington DC, and all 9 Canadian provinces that you can drive to. The only two places in North America I haven't been with this job are Alaska and Yukon Territory. The downside is, I often feel like I'm married to this job, so I guess trucking is my third wife (I'm twice divorced already.)
Anyhow, I'm sorry but I decided to discontinue YouTube collecting. The reason being is that I have some obsessive-compulsive character traits. I'm not like "Monk", I just have a few obsessive compulsive traits, and I was obsessive compulsive about collecting on YouTube. I wanted to find every single video of a girl in wet socks, muddy socks, or ruining socks in other ways that was posted to YouTube. The problem was, my obsessive compulsive side insisted that I had them in order of the date they were posted on my YouTube favorites. So, what I did was I had a sock account so I could see the date and time the video was posted, and then I would arrange them by date and time on my computer's bookmarks page. Every time I wanted to add to my favorites, I deleted my entire favorites and re-favorited all of the videos in order of the date they were posted. Then everytime I found a new video, it would be out of order so I'd wait until the next time to add it to my favorites. That was OK two years ago, but it stopped working when I found 800, 900, 1000 videos. Basically, it was my own neurotic behavior that took the fun out of YouTube collecting.

Wow, thanks for the reply. I wish there were more people like us that had the same interests. You are a legend on this forum as far as I am concerned. So what happened to your youtube page, I can't find it. I really look forward to seeing your posts and it is unfortunate that you can't post more than you do, but you have to do what you have to do to survive. I am sorry the economy is the way it is and you don't have your 9-5 anymore. Take your time, I don't want to rush you, I will just keep checking. You are awesome. Keep it up. |

Well, since you want to know where I am, I'm having lunch at a truck stop in Julesburg, Colorado, which is 180 miles or 300 km northeast of Denver. I drive a truck for a living, and my job doesn't leave very much free time. When I started posting here, I had a regular "9 to 5" job, but economic circumstances dictate what I do for a living. So, that's the reason why I don't post nearly as often as I used to.
Right now, I only have 35 links to wet socks saved in my bookmarks. Normally, I wait until I have a lot more before I make a post.
I'll see if I can post tonight or tomorrow. |
