The part that I don't get is that a lot of these people have to have filmed other stuff before and watched it. And they must have had the thought at some point as they craned their neck from side to side "Hey, it's a really dumb idea to keep rotating my hand 90 degrees while I film because it sucks having to keep twisting my head..."
Of course I say "They must..." but they obviously don't. What I am figuring is that in a year they'll make a program or app or something that auto-fixes the rotating camera thing. If they can make the camera identify and auto-focus on the faces instead of the background, they can make an app that knows where the ground is and keep that part on the bottom of the screen. It's all I can hope for, since dumb people will generally and sadly remain dumb. |

By Scally - Sat 21/11/09 00:47:24 GMT Would it be possible for some of the professional camera operators we have on here to kind of give lessons via you tube etc on how to actually hold a camera when filming.
I know I do and probably a lot of you people out their in the wetlook world get annoyed when someone is filming what could be a very good clip and their suddenly decide to either start shaking the camera about (like you get on those fly on the wall documentaries where they are running) or film sideways thus making it very very difficult to see the clip that well.
