The alerts are always appreciated. I am not aiming to be critical...I am merely trying to assist the fans to know what is worth chasing and what may be a disappointment.
I don't pass judgement on the kinds of clothings used in wetlook scenes...cos I know everybody has different tastes in wetlook styles and clothings etc....so I just focus on the things that I think most wetlook fans can agree on....i.e.
- they like to see a full continuity scene that shows the before, the during and the after-wet scenes...i.e. a good scene is one that has complete continuity and nothing is left out or badly edited...
- I may also comment on other asthetics such as bad lighting....i.e. that old Murphy's Wetlook Law....Hollywood cliche #105 ....rain must always occur at night with bad lighting....and not during the daytime......
.....Hollywood cliche #1 is....whenever there is a car chase or a foot chase....it is mandatory for somebody to knock over a fruit cart...ha ha.
Indian films have a different set of rules to Hollywood films....especially where wetlook scenes happen during any Indian film.....i.e. wetlook scenes only happen in an Indian film BEFORE the marriage scene....and whenever a marriage scene happens in an Indian film....it's "GAME OVER"...cos you never see any wetlook scenes after that point in the film....i.e. in Indian films...wetlook only happens BEFORE marriage....and never AFTER you get married....ha ha....I think there is a metaphor for wetlook life in there somewhere.

By Corsair - Wed 13/07/11 21:20:48 GMT Sorry. I had paused the show and was watching it time-shifted in the DVR buffer. Yes, I know it doesn't fit your wetlook criteria (mine either) but I figured someone might enjoy it. |

By MK - wamtec@comcast.net Wed 13/07/11 08:42:15 GMT OK....I found it....your message says "tonight" and was posted on Wednesday....but that episode (season 2 ep 6) actually aired LAST night...so it already aired.
I just downloaded it from an xvid avi file sharing forum, and sadly there is no wetlook to see...all you see are wet heads and shoulders...not the clothings. The girls just jump off a cliff and then swim away and then you never see the girls EXIT the water.....no continuity...cos they they cut to later shots (shot at a much later time) with the girls running thru the woods and only have damp hair...so this is a non-event scene imho. Wetlook has to be seen, and when tv shows fail to show the water-exit shots then this fails the "123" test (the Before, During, After test)....i.e. all good wetlook scenes need to have proper continuity and show 1) Dry and before-wet intro scenes 2) during wetlook scenes and 3) exit and afterwet shots. This is a 12 scene...not a 123 scene.
This is a common problem with many tv shows these days....i.e. in many shows the girl jumps in the water and then they fade to commercial break and fail to show any water exit shots.

By MK - wamtec@comcast.net Wed 13/07/11 07:19:00 GMT Ummm....what tv market are you in....I thought you were in the Atlanta area....which is same market as I am in i.e. East Coast USA....cos that show is not on tonight in my area. It is only on tomorrow night, and thats a re-run, not a new show. I don't see any new shows in this series in my area, only re-runs from last year. They did have this wet scene that happened last year...

By Corsair - Tue 12/07/11 21:16:26 GMT Piper Parabo and friend jump into a river in tonight's Covert Affairs. Right at the end of the show in the last ten minutes. Maybe catch it on west coast feeds. |
