Back when this forum first went online, data storage and bandwidth (both cost and availability) were major considerations which would have precluded the hosting of images. Times have changed; both storage and bandwidth are now cheap and plentiful, at least when it comes to pictures. One could argue that these should not be considerations for implementing picture uploads on this forum. However, I can see two issues: one is programming effort (not necessarily a big deal), the other is more significant. This forum does not require a membership; that leaves it open to abuse (spamming and so forth). A feature such as picture upload would be an open invitation to abuse in an open forum like this. I know Nigel has resisted the implementation of a membership system because it would make the forum less "inclusive".

One possible solution might be to introduce a membership system in which anyone can still post as they do today, but logged-in members gain access to "premium" features such as picture upload (and maybe also a "report this post" feature?).

....seriously though....you can't upload pics to this forum. No such feature has ever existed.

You need to firstly upload your pics somewhere else.....e.g. Flickr or Webshots or your own personal website.....

...and then "imbed" your pics here by adding imbed code to your postings here.

FYI, I have given free picture hosting facilities to the tens of thousands of users who use the Aquafans forum at www.aquafans.org -- that resides on my server, and I also give free picture uploading and hostings facilities to the 30,000 users at theWambank who can upload pics to my server to the celebrity galleries or to their blog sites which we also host. Graham provides picture hosting facilites on his forum and so does Derek who runs the UMD forum, so I don't see why this forum cannot provide picture hosting facilities too.
