Good to hear from an actual nurse (gender notwithstanding). But... in general, sexy is often not comfortable for the wearer. Case in point: high heels. Women always complain about how uncomfortable they are, especially after a significant amount of walking. I've also read or heard plenty of complaints about stockings/pantyhose in warm weather, short skirts in cold weather, and the sort of cleavage that appeals to a "breast fan" like me is often thanks to a bra that is probably uncomfortable for her to wear. And then there are corsets (true corsets, designed to be worn under clothes to shape a woman's body, not outer fashion accessories) - rarely have I known of a woman to express that she actually feels comfortable wearing one. OK, maybe my tastes are old-fashioned and that none of these things are considered sexy any more.

I think that if you have come to appreciate the way scrubs look, I think it's because you've been hit on by so many nurses in scrubs that you've developed an associational response... being hit on makes you feel good, the women approaching you is wearing scrubs, so when a woman wearing scrubs approaches, you anticipate the "hit" and so you find it a turn-on. I don't spend much time in any sort of environment where people wear scrubs - I mostly only see such on TV. What I see in my day-to-day world is anything but... although mostly casual clothing - a lot of jeans. Still, for me, a smartly dressed woman - a rare sight - is almost always more interesting than a woman dressed casually.

I dunno... I think scrubs can be very cute/sexy when worn by the right nurse, provided they are the right scrubs. And I find them far cuter than those skirts and button-up tops with the stupid paper hats. Scrubs are also MUCH more comfortable than those older outfits -- it has nothing to do with looking too sexy. When you're working 12+ hour shifts and need your head comfortable clothing is a good idea. That's why nurses also wear $150 sneakers: many of us speed-walk 7-10 miles per shift.

Perhaps my opinion is biased because I am a nurse, one of three male nurses in a facility with about 150 women who wear scrubs (nurses and CNA's.) So I see really cute nurses all day, and get flirted with all day, and have come to just love the way the scrubs look.

I guess another reason for the scrubs is because us few male nurses would look really silly in traditional nursing uniforms ;)

You have a point there, cos modern era nurse uniforms (aka scrubs or baggy pants and top) are the epitomy of being "unsexy".

I guess the reason they "dumb down" all the nurses uniforms these days, is in order to save on health care costs....i.e. if you hire ugly nurses and dress them even uglier, then people will be less likely to visit a doctor or hospital for minor reasons....so it helps to create a disincentive to keep people from visiting the doctor unless it is an emergency. If they made nurse uniforms too sexy, it would case too many people to visit the hospital...ha ha....cos that is how all the casinos in Vegas attract people....by having sexy cocktail waitresses etc. If they were to dumb down the girls costumes in Vegas casinios, and only hire plain girls wearing bland outfits....that would create less of a reason to go to the casino.

i.e. note how he says "stewardesses"....the vintage term....and did not use the modern term "flight attendants".....cos stewardesses were sexy....and most flight attendants today are definitely not (not unless you fly on the Asian airlines, where all their flight attendants have to be young and look like models....unlike the American Airlines, where most of them look like the motherly waitresses you can find at your local diner).

It's unfortunate that "authentic" nurse uniforms as referred to here are now "vintage" and no longer really "authentic" because the real deal is now very un-sexy "scrubs" or loose-fitting pants and tops. If only they still turned out like Jenny Agutter's "Nurse Price" in An American Werewolf in London (1981), but sadly those days have now passed.

David has been producing wetlook films and videos in the UK since the 1970's and I have known him for many years cos he was an great inspiration for me and I also hired many of his UK models in the early 90's and brought them to the USA. David only uses "authentic" nurse and schoolgirl uniforms (not the sexy style costumes you find in fancy dress stores and Ann Summers shops). David pay homage to my favorite era for nurses uniforms....i.e. the 1960's and 70's styles that you would see in the old "Carry On" films. See David's site here ...

You can find nurses uniforms in almost every video he makes....they are an obligatory cliche in all his films....even when he was making a a feature about "The Mummy" he still managed to get a nurses scene in there. Check all his videos in his wet films sections on his site.

David also runs his own Uniforms clothing company where you can order authentic nurses and schoolgirl uniforms from different eras for your own video shoots....see here...

Hi, I have tried without success to find pics of women wearing proper nurses uniforms wet, not the anne summers type, but real ones. Any help please.
