About 6 or 7 years ago I was working for an organisation in a building where practically all the office space was open-plan. One day I was walking past an attractive young blonde woman who I hadn't seen before - except I *had* seen her before but not there - but where exactly? A few days later I passed her again and of course I couldn't help looking at her again and our eyes met but there was most definitely an uncomfortable feeling and I felt I was creeping her out a little so I just let things pass, maybe I was mistaken that I'd seen her before?

Then suddenly it came to me - yes I had seen her before - she was one of the wetlook models from Soaking Wet UK, indeed I'd bought at least one set of hers. So did I chat her up with a view to meeting up for wetlook? No way!!! Anything like that would have been super-creepy and I'd have probably been reported to and disciplined by management. So I just had to ignore her and 99% of the time we passed each other in the walkways I simply and successfully avoided any eye contact - but yes there were a couple of times when our eyes met, maybe when we both walked around a corner at the same time - but each time I could feel from her a very negative sense of "You know who I am, don't you?" Anyway, a few months later I changed jobs and all that now is very much past history.

In July this year I drove by car on holiday to the Netherlands. I spent a good time. I had the idea of visiting the town where Eileen from Wamderland.net lives and photographs. I wrote to her on Facebook that I'm going, she wrote back to me that she is not interested in any meetings. Ok.

Visiting the Netherlands I drove the highway and despite Eileen's lack of interest in the meeting, I drove 10km sideways to her town. I saw the town, the spaces where are made the pictures, garden and where is Eileen's house. I took a few souvenir photos and after 15 minutes I drove on. A few days later I wrote to Eileen on Facebook that I was and as proof I sent her a selfie at her house taken. For me it was the end of the topic, but Eileen wrote back to me that she was afraid, that someone might come to her, that photographing herself at her home was unthinkable, that it was shocking and disgusting that I had the idea of coming to her city.

It's been half a year and I still don't understand what she means. He takes nice pictures, he photographs himself very defiantly. He doesn't hide his name and address at all place of residence (this is public data), and at the same time he is terribly afraid that someone may want to visit her city, not to mention her meeting.

Was what I was doing on vacation really weird?
