I never felt that I had an identity crisis. Since childhood I've always had an interest in photography. I wasn't really good at it, because back then we just had film cameras, and those were much harder to master. I understood the concept of photography, and I wanted to be good, but I had a really hard time taking good pictures. When I bought my first digital camera, I started to get it and I was able to take better photos, but it still took years of trial and effort. I really enjoy the creativity of taking photos and when I started shooting wetlook sets, I wanted to continue to be as creative as possible although honestly, it's very tough to come up with unique ideas. I always tried to push the bar upwards in my photography skills, even taking on the challenge of underwater photography.
The difference between a GWC and a photographer is reputation. You can either be the guy who acts like a professional and tries to take the best photos possible, or you can be the guy who wants to date the models, and creep them out.

By Tom Servo - Sat 08/08/20 01:27:44 GMT I've recently started taking my own wetlook pictures and I've realized I got a bit of an identity crisis...in photography we all know the guy with the camera, basically the guy who just wants to get girls naked in front of the camera. How does one know they are not their wetlook equivalent? I tried to put effort into the few sessions I did, but I am not sure how much artistic value the pictures I am taking have. Did anyone of more experienced wetlook photographers ever wondered about the same thing, is it just the passion and skill? My favorite photographers, and whose work I have been inspired by are Edwin R, Marcus (ImagesbyMR), ENNEroduction. |
