You will have to forgive my grevous anatomical errors — I would not make the same mistake again now!

On reflection I would say that, for the most part, it has only done me harm socially, although I do remember one girl in the UK who enjoyed it — sadly we never met up in person (she was at the other end of the country). I’ve tried to reach her since, but never heard back.

Like many fetishes, wetlook takes normal activities and adds complexity and trouble, which goes completely against my way of thinking. Visually (aesthetically) I cannot decide whether being wet is a good or a bad thing, as different parts of my brain argue in both directions, and consciously I’m stuck in the middle.

When wetlook is still new to you, anyone getting wet is exciting, but as time passes you realise that “good” wetlook is very scarce. Many outfits barely look any different wet, or look different (so called “colour change”, although for me a “colour” change would imply a change in hue, not luminosity) but not actually look “wet”: wet clothes and wet hair can simply look different—darker—but not actually wet. So many hair textures and colourations look worse wet than dry. So many outfits just don’t cling nicely, and very strong cling is good at revealing how padded a bra is.

As the decades have passed, and I’m still eternally single, there is no fun, social or bonding aspect to it — rule breaking, craziness — it’s just become distilled into an observation process where most observed examples are a disappointment, even situations that would have thrilled me in the past.

A big part of the problem for me I suppose is produced wetlook. Produced versus candid is controversial (in particular between this forum and the Wetlook Forum that was anti-candid) but produced wetlook breaks my honesty and reality notion. Just like the dishonesty of make-up and padded and push-up bras, produced wetlook is demonstrating an artificial reality. Candid wetlook shows scenarios that could really happen in my life.
