In our case we provide all the outfits, underwear, footwear, etc that our people wear in shoots. I'm very fussy about outfits, for example I regard low-rise jeans as ugly abominations and would never want to shoot anyone dressed like that in a scene. Providing the outfits means I never need to worry about someone turning up wearing somehting I hate. Models like knowing they don't have to risk anything of their own, even in pure wetlook shoots things can get torn or stained especially when shooting outdoors in natural rivers and streams, plus of course we also do mud and messy scenes.

We have an enormous wardrobe that takes up one entire floor of a building, just containing modelwear. Some of it was bought brand new, some from charity shops all over the country.

Maybe it was asked before, but do wetlook models use their own clothes and shoes sometimes or are they provided by the producer? Do producers have a budget for clothes?

If the models use their own clothes/shoes, does it happen that the clothes/shoes do not survive the photoshoot? Are the models then compensated for the loss?

I am curious especially because I often see some wet clothes cutting-destruction videos, mostly on Wetlooker and I am curious if it is a way for models to get rid of their old clothes or they just buy them in charity shops.
