I quite agree. They say that movies imitate real life, therefore if we are to "correct" movies, we must all contribute to real life clothed wet experiences, and show the ::environment:: that we enjoy it! Those of you in hot countries can start immediately, by jumping in your local rivers, lakes, and pools wearing your current outfits, while those in cooler countries can go to your local public indoor pools and do likewise (or all club together and have a massive group pool party - this also overcomes the problems some have in swimming in their clothes, as most pools have a more liberated dress code for pool parties than for lane swims). Also, let's all write wet stories (there are many wet story sites, for example this one (Nigel's), Wacky, mine (Janet & Julia's), Save the Bergamot, Siren's, etc. etc. ) Phone in to your local TV or radio station, and relate your enjoyable childhood or current experiences. Organise a fully-clothed charity swim or dunk tank session. Get your local drama or theatre group to put on wet plays with real people in real water (Hamlet, Carmen, or whatever). Run a reality show, and syndicate it to your local TV network. Publish a fashion magazine with wet models. Have an underwater wedding, with an underwater reception (supply a few models as plants, and don't tell the guests, so they all jump in in their formalwear, or get thrown in). These are just a few of the possibilities. There are many more. You can easily modify ::reality:: if you believe and try - it's why we evolved free will :) There are so many ways to enjoy getting wet, use your imaginations :) Always fill your day with wonderful things :)

It’s like we need some kind of campaign for wetlook positivity.

Some of these scenes are so brief or so incomplete that it’s not even clear what the point was of even shooting them. Those that are complete all often end in an argument. This is especially true of clothed pool scenes, that end in sadness or anger.

I just feel that it would be nice if more wet scenes involved 100% happiness, that couples who get fully clothed just enjoy the experience. Shoot them on days that are warm enough that no towels are needed: if it’s warm enough you can just step out of the water dripping wet and just walk around without getting too cold.

It would no doubt help some of us somewhere along the line if getting wet was portrayed more positively, so that people (women especially) have a little seed of joy planted in their mind. YouTube though is full of people who enjoy it — why can’t mainstream film and television show the world how to have fun in water fully clothed?
